JAIPUR: RSS leader Indresh Kumar on Thursday slammed the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for being “arrogant” and the opposition India Bloc (INDIA berg) for being “anti-Ram” in a pointed comment on the Lok Sabha election results.
The RSS national executive member, while speaking at the ‘Ramrath Ayodhya Yatra Darshan Poojan Samaroh’ event at Kanota near Jaipur, did not mention the rivals by name but said the poll results reflected their attitude.
“This party, though devoted to Lord Rama, has become arrogant and emerged as the largest party despite winning only 241 seats,” he said, apparently referring to the Narendra Modi-led BJP, which won 240 seats in the Lok Sabha.
“And those who do not believe in Rama, they are stopped at 234 together,” he said, apparently referring to the Indian group.
He said: “Look at ‘Vedan’ in the democratic Ram kingdom; those who were devoted to Ram, gradually they became arrogant and this party became the largest party, but due to their arrogance, the votes and power that should have been given to them were blocked by God.”
“None of those who were against Rama was given power. Even all of them put together would only be second. God’s justice is real and pleasing,” he said.
He said, “Those who worship Rama should be humble, and those who oppose Rama, the Lord Himself will deal with them.”
He said Lord Rama does not discriminate and does not punish. “Lord Rama will not make anyone sad. Lord Rama will give justice to everyone. He gives and will continue to give. Lord Rama has always been fair and will always be fair,” he said.
Kumar also said that Lord Rama protected the people and was also favourable to Ravana.
A few days ago, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had said that a true ‘sevak’ would not be arrogant and would serve the people by maintaining ‘dignity’.
