Thieves caused serious damage to a house in Magnesiumstraat, Suriname, in broad daylight on Friday.
The burglary took place between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The perpetrators took away 60,000 Surinamese dollars (SRD) and jewelry valued at 700,000 SRD.
These valuables were stored in the bedroom chest of drawers.
The resident discovered the burglary after returning home. The suspects broke into the home by prying open the back door and picking the thief’s iron lock. Upon discovery, the victim immediately contacted the police.
After receiving the report, officers from the Flora Police Department rushed to the scene to investigate. The search for the fugitive suspect is in full swing.
