The newly elected Publicity Secretary of the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP), Dr. Jess Kabwila, today held her first media briefing since her election a week ago.
The press conference was held at the headquarters of Maharashtra News Agency and journalists from various media outlets attended the press conference.
The purpose of this briefing is to inform the nation about the results of the electoral conference.
Kabwera in his speech said President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera remains the best candidate to assume the presidency after the 2025 general elections.
She said President Chakwera had proven that he had the interests of the people of Malawians at heart; therefore, he allocated development projects holistically without regard to anyone’s political or regional stance.
Kabwira assured reporters that Chakwera would win next year’s presidential election.
She called on Malawians to unite behind the President so that he can continue to lead the country to the highest development.
