Justin Timberlake, the famous singer who was arrested and detained for drunk driving on Tuesday, spoke on the topic for the first time.
The 43-year-old American singer was stopped by police in New York for running a red light and was detained on charges of drunk driving.
Timberlake, who was in concert in Chicago last night, said he had a tough week because of the incident. “I know it’s hard to love me sometimes, but you continue to love me and I love you back,” the celebrity said, thanking fans for their support.
The singer added that everyone’s life has its ups and downs.
Police said in a post-incident report that Timberlake had bloodshot eyes and difficulty speaking when he was stopped. Timberlake also said in his statement that he had drunk a martini before driving.
Timberlake is married to actress Jessica Biel and has two children.
