John Krasinski opened up about his sweet tribute to his mother, late singer Tina Turner.
For those who are unfamiliar, singing star Tina Turner, 83, died on May 24, 2023.
While promoting his new family film, ifJohn Krasinski said in an interview People Magazine“Tina Turner was one of my mom’s favorite singers and still is one of her favorite singers.”
He added: “My mum had a great sense of music and we always used to listen to lots of different things but I remember vividly dancing to Tina Turner in the kitchen.”
“I just remembered that Tina Turner meant so much to me. I was a huge Tina Turner fan, so I thought, ‘I should put this song in there with my mom,'” he explained of his decision to include Tina’s music in the new film, which was reportedly inspired by his daughters Hazel and Violet and stars Emily Blunt.
Finally, the showbiz superstar expressed his gratitude to Tina’s estate for allowing him to use her music, saying, “I can only imagine how tricky it must be to loan out your music.”
He ended the topic by expressing his gratitude, “but they were very happy that this celebration was a celebration of her music and imagination.”
