Kathmandu, August 6. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said the construction of the observation tower in Jhapadamak will bear fruit.
During a question-and-answer session with the Prime Minister during the House session on Thursday, RSVP MP Nisha Dangi questioned the purpose and cost of building an observation tower at DAMAC. PM Oli responded by saying that it is not an observation tower but a trade centre at DAMAC.
DAMAC has built a commercial complex. It is a bit tall. That is why it is called a tower and an observation tower,” PM Oli said, “but it is not an observation tower. No one spends a lot of money to build an observation tower, that is a commercial complex. ”
He mentioned that the complex has seven and a half floors with six elevators, “and each floor can host different types of businesses. It can be a hospital, a hotel, an IT park.”
He said Thailand and Malaysia both have such complexes. Mentioning that the United States built the twin towers long ago and called it the World Trade Center, he added, “For DAMAC, it is now called the Jhapa Trade Center.”
He also revealed that the cost of the complex was 1,079 million 48 million. Mentioning that the foundations are 45 meters high, he added, “Dahro has been built. It will continue to bring returns for hundreds of years.”
