Bellaria Igea Marina is ready for the final of the Italian Beach Volleyball Championship, a prestigious sporting event that will be held from August 31 to September 8, 2024 at Polo Est Village.
A press conference was held today to launch the event; attended by distinguished representatives of local and sporting bodies, including Adriano Bilato, Vice President of the FIPAV Federation, Giammaria Manghi, Head of the Political Secretariat of the Emilia-Romagna Regional President, Silvano Brusori, President of the FIPAV Emilia-Romagna Regional Committee, Filippo Giorgetti, Mayor of Bellaria Igea Marina, Massimo Ceccarelli, Mayor of Polo Est Village and Roberto Bulegato, President of Insubria Gallarate.
Adriano Bilatto, Vice President of the FIPAV Federation, stressed the importance of this event for Italian beach volleyball, thanking the institutions and the Emilia-Romagna Region for their continued support in organizing a high-level event with strong media support and participation. “We invite everyone not to miss the appointments starting from August 31st,” Bilatto concluded.
Giamaria Mangi, head of the Political Secretariat of the Emilia-Romagna Regional Presidency, stressed the role of beach volleyball as a driver of passionate tourism and an integral part of Emilia-Romagna’s “Sports Valley”. He also said: “This event is an important opportunity to de-seasonalize tourism, showing how Bellaria-Igea Marina can be an attractive destination all year round.”
Silvano Brusori, president of the FIPAV Emilia-Romagna regional committee, thanked the previous intervention and reiterated how the investment in the region has stimulated the interest of local managers. “Sports events like this not only bring in the presence of sport and tourists, but also expose young people to sports activities.”
Massimo Ceccarelli, Director of Polo Est Village, expressed his satisfaction at the opportunity to once again host the Italian Championship final and stressed that Polo Est Village was designed precisely to host an event of this magnitude. “Sports tourism brings added value to our tourist product. We are grateful to all those who worked tirelessly to make this event possible.”
The Mayor of Bellaria Igea Marina, Filippo Giorgetti, thanked all the volunteers involved in the organization and said: “It is a real pleasure to see so many young people involved in these events. Bellaria Igea Marina is proud to be part of a project that promotes not only sport but also fundamental values such as education, training and hospitality. I thank FIPAV, Giammaria Manghi and Polo Est Village for their commitment to creating great events like these finals, which I remember will also be accompanied by gastronomic and entertainment activities.”
Roberto Bulegato, President of Insubria Gallarate, presided over the meeting and reiterated the invitation to the Youth and Absolute Finals, recalling that the matches will be broadcast live on Rai Sport, Rai News and Radio Kiss Kiss. ”There will be two stands with free admission, so we are all waiting to experience great emotions together.”
Polo Est Village will be transformed into a real beach volleyball village, hosting the finals of the U14, U16, U18, U20 categories, the Masters finals and the absolute finals of important national athletes. This event will welcome families, athletes, tourists, beach volleyball enthusiasts and technical and sports directors. For this purpose, a central field will be set up with two stands, where spectators will have free access.
