The Isle of Man Care Advisory and Liaison Service (MCALS) is pleased to announce the opening of a new public counter service on 1 July 2024.
The counter service will initially be open at the MCALS office in Garaghyn Glass, Noble Hospital, from 10am to 12pm, Monday to Friday. We will give you a warm welcome and do everything we can to help you.

Launched in August 2021, MCALS provides a listening service and one-stop shop to answer health and social care related queries and concerns via email and telephone. More than 18,500 people have received support and responses since the service began operating nearly three years ago. 90% of concerns and queries are responded to on the same day.
MCALS also runs community drop-in services at centres across the island, led by a dedicated team of volunteers who are able to answer people’s concerns and queries, as well as provide signposting information.

As a next step, we will be providing an over the counter service on site at Noble Hospital, which will mean that service users, carers and families who require support with signposting can access this information on the spot.
MCALS also has a quiet room in Garaghyn Glass which provides confidential support and information to service users, carers and families. To book an appointment with one of our MCALS officers to discuss health or social care issues please contact the office on Freephone +44 1624 642642 or by email mcals@gov.im.
