Residents’ feedback on important issues such as jobs, public services, healthcare, safety and crime helps shape future government policy.
The survey results are anonymous opinions used to evaluate government initiatives and better understand public opinion. This year the survey structure has evolved to align with the European Social Survey to allow for deeper comparisons with other jurisdictions.
Participation is by invitation only. Letters will be sent randomly to 3,000 households. Each household must volunteer one resident to complete the questionnaire. Participants should be 15 years of age or older and have a birthday closest to the date the household receives the letter. This is to ensure that responses are as representative of the island community as possible.
The survey will close at midnight on September 6, 2024. There are four ways to access the survey:
- Online – the letter will contain the website address
- Call 685742 or send an email statistics@gov.im Request a paper copy of the questionnaire, schedule a telephone interview appointment or arrange a face-to-face meeting with a member of the Isle of Man Statistics team
