Isle of Man Government – Global IT outage service update

[ad_1]

Due to an ongoing global IT outage, some Manx Care services remain disrupted. Until the situation is resolved, affected patients or service users are asked to take the following actions:

If you are expecting a visit from the District Nurse, Health Visitor or School Nurse and this does not happen, please call +44 1624 685547 and a member of staff will help you.

If you are having difficulty getting a repeat prescription from your community pharmacy, your local pharmacy may be able to assist with an ‘emergency supply or loaner’ if:

  • It must be a pharmacy you frequent.
  • Emergency supplies can only be used for conventional medicines
  • Only medications that were dispensed most recently (i.e. within the last month) are provided
  • Controlled drugs are not available as emergency supplies. This is a legal restriction and pharmacists are not allowed to provide these drugs. If you need these drugs, you must contact MEDS
  • A short course (5 days) will be held
  • Emergency supplies will be deducted from your next prescription

please Please check the Community Pharmacies page for weekend opening hours of pharmacies islandwide.

GP surgeries remain open and continue to see patients with existing appointments, however new appointments are currently not being taken. We are working hard to resolve the ongoing IT issues and we hope our patients will understand.

Manx Care will continue to provide service users with updated information as the situation changes.
