Fraudsters defrauded more than £4 million from a dozen victims through an investment scam carried out on the Isle of Man, a Chinese court has heard.
In China, six people working for a company called Manx Internet Commerce in Douglas were convicted of fraud between 2022 and 2023.
The hearing was told they were working at a hotel in Douglas along with nearly 100 people who had come to the Isle of Man.
Experts say this scam is common in Asia but is new to the West.
