TEHRAN, August 10 (Sputnik) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced this Friday that its navy has integrated 2,640 missile systems, drones and other combat equipment into its naval forces, with a focus on new anti-ship cruise missiles equipped with high-explosive warheads that are undetectable, Iranian media reported.
It is worth noting that the built-in cruise missile is designed with new features, including a high-explosive warhead and stealth capabilities, making it impossible for enemy radars to track it.
Iran’s growing missile capabilities are reflected in the presence of several projectiles that can reach Israel. One of these is the Sejjil, a solid-fuel-powered medium-range ballistic missile that flies at speeds of more than 17,000 km/h and has a range of up to 2,500 km.
Iran also has the Kheibar missile, which has a range of 2,000 km and is equipped with a 1,500 kg warhead. Its extremely high speed makes it difficult to intercept.
According to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), Iran possesses the largest number of ballistic missiles in the region.
