Former caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar said the issue of independent power producers is a problem of 240 million people including the sector. The IPP issue is being discussed in the Senate.
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) conference was held in Lahore. Former caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haque Kakar and former caretaker Federal Minister for Commerce Gohar Ejaz attended the event.
Speaking at the FPCCI regional office, Anwarul Haq Kakar said they are not trying to score points by raising the IPP issue and we will resolve the issue through dialogue.
“We’ve fought small battles for people’s rights before, and we’ve fought wars,” he said.
He said astrologers on social media were spreading despair about the country and the future of the country was bright.
