The re-elected mayor of the capital, Nicuşor Dan, spoke on Thursday evening on Digi 24 about the re-election of the mayor of Campronmusel (Arges county), Elena Lasconi, as president of the Union to Save Romania (USR).

“It is an internal decision. I will speak soon. I will meet with His Excellency, but we do not know each other. So we will meet soon. I am very interested to know what His Excellency’s plans are for the USR, for USR Bucharest, and in any case I will convey to him my wish to continue working with them in the Council (General Council of the City of Bucharest) and otherwise, because I collaborated not only in the Council, but when there was a debate on the Law on Urban Planning, the Law on Urban Green Spaces, so it was really a collaboration”said Nikusol Dan.

The general mayor also commented on the official announcement of the candidacy of the new leader of the Soviet Union, Elena Raskony, in this year’s presidential elections and whether he would support her in this political endeavor.

“I will also raise these issues when I speak to His Majesty, yes. Of course. I am optimistic… precisely because the political choices of the party I am interested in on these issues are very, very close to mine. I am very optimistic that his rule will have the same vision”, said Nikuso Dan.
