So, Dmitry Karatyan said that at the beginning of his career he acted in many Belarusian films. My acquaintance with Belarus began with the filming of “The Lantern Festival” directed by Yevgeny Markovsky. The trilogy “The Man in the Swamp” directed by Viktor Turov continued. “For a person, when he is just beginning to take his first steps, this is of course the most memorable, bright and wonderful (memory – BELTA notes) Therefore, Belarus and everything related to cinema, Belarusian people are close to me,” he said.

Now Dmitry Karatyan has come to Belarus again to shoot the feature film “Caruso”. The film is produced by the Russian side, but our actors and specialists also take an active part in it. The director of production is young Ivan Karatyan. “It is important to me that my son decided to make a film about a dog who saved several families during the siege, and most of the filming took place in Belarus. It is a story that connects several generations,” said Dmitry.

Kazuro was planned as a family film about the love, friendship and devotion of a boy and a dog. The film is based on real events. “In our story, Caruso saved several families in the besieged suburbs of Leningrad, and they erected a monument to her, which is the real story they based the film on. The story of Trezor, they really erected a winged monument to him,” said Dmitry Karatyan.

The famous actor himself will play the role of the adult Mitya, the boy of Caruso, in the film. Dmitry Karatyan noted that his character does not appear much in the film, but has a special role, since he appears at the beginning and the end of the film. “He comes to the tomb and saves the monument from demolition, thereby saving the memory of the dog,” he said.

The film is scheduled to premiere in Russian and Belarusian cinemas on Victory Day. Dmitry Karatyan noted that the events of the Great Patriotic War are important not only for Belarus and Russia, but also for the world.
