In a shocking incident, a family in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, found a scalpel in the ashes of a woman who died in childbirth. The incident has sparked outrage and prompted the local authorities to take swift action. The woman, Navneet Kaur, was taken to JK Hospital in Mawana to give birth. However, she did not survive the operation and her family performed her last rites in Rathaura Khurd village. During the cremation ceremony, when the family collected her ashes, they came across a scalpel, which they claimed was lodged in her abdomen during the operation.

The discovery has raised serious concerns about medical negligence and the standard of care at the hospital. Immediately after the incident, the family members filed a complaint, which led to the Chief Medical Officer of Meerut suspending the hospital’s license. An inquiry committee has been set up to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. “We never expected the doctors to be so negligent. We initially accepted our fate, but we were shocked to find the scalpel,” said a family member, demanding a thorough investigation into the matter.
