The Hanked Bridge in Andhra Pradesh will be inaugurated tomorrow.
The Hanked bridge will be inaugurated at a ceremony hosted by Indian External Affairs Minister Arun Jaitley, Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar.
The bridge will be inaugurated tomorrow but will open to the public next month.
Jaishankar plans to inaugurate the bridge and complete dredging and beach protection projects in Andhra Pradesh.
The bridge was built to connect Gokendi and Maradu, which were earlier connected to Hanked through a bridge. The bridge connects the Maradu side with the main road of the village.
The new bridge replaces the bridge connecting Hanked and Gokend.
As Hankede will be developed into integrated tourism, it was decided to replace the Hankede-Gaokende Bridge. The Fund Management Company (MFMC) has awarded the contract for the development of Hankede to China National Electrical Engineering Corporation (CNECC).
