“The movement calls on the mediators to present a plan to implement the movement’s agreement of July 2, 2024, in accordance with Biden’s vision and UN Security Council resolutions,” Hamas said in a statement.
“The mediators should impose this agreement on the occupying power (Israel) rather than engage in further negotiations or make new proposals that would provide cover for its aggression and give it more time to continue its genocide against our people,” the statement said.
Israel launched an attack on the Gaza Strip on October 7 after Hamas militants invaded southern Israel, killing 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 250 hostages, according to Israeli statistics.
Since then, nearly 40,000 Palestinians have died in the Israeli offensive on Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
