Kathmandu, July 8. People’s Justice Party (RPP) MP Gyanendra Shahi has asked the ruling Congress-United Marxist-Leninist (UML) to investigate all corruption and irregularities in public discussions.
Speaking at an emergency session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, he asked to work in such a way that in future when joining the opposition, they would not have to demand investigations in the name of corruption cases.
“You may be in the government, tomorrow will not be the day you cry again as a refugee from Bhutan, may your days no longer be known as Giribandhu, known as Omni, known as Ncell, sitting and crying over corruption scandals like Melamchi, Wide Body”, he said, “Let us work.”, open it, act quickly.
Congress MP Shahi said the speech changed after the seats of the opposition and ruling parties in the parliament changed and said corruption files should be opened whoever joins the ruling and opposition parties.
He said there was competition between the ruling and opposition parties over corruption and irregularities and asked them to live in peace while in power and not to be accused again after leaving office.
“What gamble is going on in Parliament, why are you closing your files and opening ours? Do yours first and then ours…, you didn’t meet yesterday,” he asked, targeting the NLP and the Maoist Centre.
