UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the killing of hundreds of civilians by Israeli forces in Nissara as they tried to rescue four prisoners.
UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric responded to questions about the Israeli attack on the Nisarat refugee camp.
Dujarric said the UN Secretary-General opposed Israel’s killing of more than 200 Palestinians to save four people.
Dujarric called on all parties to protect peaceful civilians.
On June 8, the Nisarat refugee camp and some residential areas in the central Gaza Strip were attacked by land, sea and air, killing 274 Palestinians, including 64 children, 57 of whom were women. 698 were injured.
