Ed Balls could be sacked as presenter of ITV’s Good Morning Britain following a flood of complaints to Ofcom about his behaviour on the show.
The morning show received a whopping 8,201 complaints to the broadcasting regulator after viewers claimed Ed displayed a “conflict of interest” during a TV interview with his spouse, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper.

Spokesman Lee Astley said: “The integrity and impartiality of Good Morning Britain has been called into question following two controversial interviews conducted by presenter Ed Balls on Monday’s show.”
Astley continued: “There is now an 11 per cent chance that Balls will be replaced as host of Good Morning Britain following a string of allegations of conflict of interest surrounding his interview with the Home Secretary and his wife Yvette Cooper.”
He added: “Rylan Clark (7/2) is expected to replace Ed Balls as GMB host following the controversy, while University Challenge host Amol Rajan is currently leading the market at 9/4 to become the new GMB host. Roman Kemp, who recently left the Capital FM breakfast show hosting team, is also underdog in the market at 4/1.”
Astley concluded: “Following recent criticism from viewers, Good Morning Britain will be cancelled entirely on July 2.”
