In fact, Russia’s Defense Ministry warned that if the reports were confirmed, Moscow would respond “immediately” and “strongly.”
“The Kiev regime has begun preparations for an attack on the Kursk nuclear power plant,” Zakharova said, according to the publication, noting the danger the regime poses to the international community.
“We call on international organizations, especially the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to immediately condemn the provocative actions being prepared by the Kiev regime and prevent violations of the nuclear and physical security of its Kursk nuclear power plant, which could lead to a large-scale man-made disaster in Europe,” Zakharova added.
“Moreover, such actions by Kyiv not only pose a direct threat to nuclear power plants, but also undermine the pillars of nuclear and physical security as articulated by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi in 2022,” he continued.
“The entire international community must recognize the danger posed by the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev to the entire European continent,” the diplomat stressed. “Joint efforts must be made to resolutely thwart attempts at intimidation and terrorism against the entire region and the international community as a whole,” he concluded.
