Hamdan told Reuters in an interview that Blinken’s statement created “a lot of uncertainty” because New Proposal “This is not the proposal that was presented to us and that we agreed to.”
Moreover, Hamas officials recalled that the movement had told the mediators of the indirect negotiations – Qatar, Egypt, the United States – and maintained the position: “We do not need new negotiations on a ceasefire in Gaza, we need to agree on a mechanism for its implementation.”

Osama Hamdan said the new Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, had been involved in the decision-making process on a possible ceasefire agreement from the beginning.
“Due to security conditions, communication with Sinuar is done through tools and mechanisms that have been created and are running smoothly,” he explained.
