Ouagadougou Court of Appeal, After referralconsidered the requests for provisional release filed by the appellant’s counsel on Friday, July 19, 2024. The court found these requests “without merit.”

Lawyers say we must now wait for the case to be rescheduled for trial “once and for all.”

For the record, at the last hearing on Friday, July 5, 2024, the court returned the file to the general role (a new date will be set) and set a date for consideration of the request for provisional release on Friday, July 19, 2024. At the hearing on July 5, the attorneys presented several arguments to justify these requests.
