one Oklahoma Father and his girlfriend yes Arrested After police found the man’s 15-year-old son daughter Tie Up Authorities said he used ratchet straps to tie himself to a tree in the backyard.
Police arrested 40-year-old Johnny James on charges of Severe child abuse and neglect. His girlfriend, 42-year-old Kayla Sharee Clark, was also charged Child Neglect.
The incident occurred on July 28 when the Washington County Sheriff responded to a home in Villa, Oklahoma. According to reports, deputies received a call reporting child abuse at the home. Law and Crimereviewed a probable cause affidavit.
The woman who called police said she saw the teen tied to a tree in the backyard and believed the girl needed medical attention.
She described the girl as having “a hole in her leg and marks on her arms,” according to the affidavit.
The woman told the 911 operator that the girl had been tied to the tree for three days and that she had been secretly feeding her to keep her alive.

According to police, the teen and her family were visiting the area from Texas.
When police arrived at the girl’s home, they found her tied to a tree and sitting on a rug. They spoke to a woman in the home who allegedly said she had no knowledge of the girl’s condition but later admitted she knew she was being abused but was “too scared” to do anything.
According to officers, James told police upon arriving at the scene that he tied the girl to the tree because “she was untrustworthy and a liar.” He told officers that the girl had only been tied for about an hour, which contradicted the report of the person who called the police.
James said the girl soiled herself frequently and he didn’t know what else he could do to stop her from doing so.
“Johnny explained that she was left outside this morning because she soiled herself when she peed and pooped and did not want to be inside so they had her sit outside so she would not soil,” the affidavit read. “When Johnny was questioned, he stated that this was the only option to keep her calm because he did not know what else to do to help her.”
James said he believed the girl’s actions were because she wanted to live with her mother and admitted he needed to “come up with another solution” to her problem other than tying her to a tree.
Clark denied knowing the girl was tied to the tree.
Officers arrested James and Clark, who were booked into the Washington County Jail on $500,000 bail. The teen was taken to a local hospital, and she and other children in the home were taken into custody by the state Department of Human Services.
