Dhangadi, July 21. Newly appointed Sudurpasham Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah will take oath today. Shah, who was appointed as the chief minister for the second time on Sunday, will take oath at 3:30 pm today.
The Governor’s Office said necessary preparations are being made for the swearing-in ceremony. After the swearing-in, Chief Minister Shah is also set to expand his cabinet.
Shah is in discussion with the ruling CPN-UML for this, while the Congress is discussing finalising the name of the minister.
Although there is an agreement between the Nepali Congress and the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist Party to take over three-thirds of the ministries, it has not yet been decided which ministry to take over. Chief Minister Shah is ready to hand over one ministry to the Civil Liberation Party to participate in the government.
Jiggar Bahadur Thordari of the minority United Socialist Party resigned as chief minister on Friday after the Congress formed an alliance with the United Marxist-Leninist Party on June 17.
