One of her angry fans Madonna is suing the 65-year-old pop queen after she was tricked into buying concert tickets containing pornographic material without any warning.
Justen Lipeles filed suit on behalf of others who attended the Celebration Tour concert in Inglewood California.
He claimed that the March 7 concert at the Kia Forum started an hour and a half late and that the venue was too hot because Madonna allegedly asked for the air conditioning to be turned off, The Blast reported.
Lipeles noted in the lawsuit that he and other fans were sweating and feeling uncomfortable due to the hot weather, but this apparently did not bother Madonna, who reportedly told the audience to take off their clothes if they felt hot.
The lawsuit then focused on Madonna’s lewd behavior on stage that night. Lipeles claimed that he and other concertgoers were “forced to watch topless women simulate sexual acts on stage.”
“Disrespect for her fans”
“Forcing consumers to wait for hours in hot, uncomfortable venues and subjecting them to pornographic material without warning shows Madonna’s wanton disrespect for her fans,” Lipeles said, adding that he felt like he was watching a pornographic movie playing.
This isn’t the first time Madonna has been sued for postponing a concert.
The pop star is facing two class-action lawsuits for his chronic tardiness, with both sets of plaintiffs claiming the star was hours late for scheduled performances.
The lawsuits are similar to Lipeles’s, alleging a “complete lack of respect” and a tendency to use playbacks during large portions of her concerts.
Madonna filed a motion in April to dismiss one of the complaints, arguing that it was unreasonable for her fans to expect her to leave on time.
“No reasonable concertgoer, and certainly no Madonna fan, would expect that the headliner of a major arena concert would take the stage when tickets were issued,” the filing said.
Lipeles’ lawsuit is different from other lawsuits filed by Madonna during her 12th concert tour, in that he took her to court for her overly sexual and inappropriate behavior on stage.
