Experts believe Imran’s political career will not end anytime soon

Political analysts deny that the political career of former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan and his party is coming to an end. They believe that the recent verdict may be a deliberate attempt to disillusion PTI voters, in line with the historical pattern of attempts to undermine political parties in Pakistan.

Naveed Hussain, Editor-in-Chief Expressshared his News On the talk show “Experts”, he stressed that in Pakistan, such attempts to dissolve political parties like the Tehreek-e-Insaf have historically failed.

Hussain compared the judicial assassination of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the founder of Pakistan People’s Party, and the exile of Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), stressing that the Pakistan People’s Party and the PML-N still play an important role in Pakistan’s politics today.

Hussain quoted Shakespeare’s “most merciless punishment” to draw attention to the recent verdict in the Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi illegal marriage case, criticizing the judicial process for intrusion into women’s private lives.

Hussain expressed concern that the nature of this case, which is different from others, means Khan could face targeted political retaliation.

Ayaz Khan, Group Editor Newsbelieves that the verdict against Khan and Bushra Bibi before the election may be an attempt to hit voters. However, he noted that voters are still grateful, questioning whether it is necessary to hear the case again when it has been dismissed so many times before.

Faisal Hussain, News The Karachi bureau chief said if the decision does not go to court, hopefully it will be good for Pakistan and its political history, noting that Khan’s political influence has been limited and his campaigning has been curtailed.

Amir Ilyas Rana, News The Islamabad bureau chief expressed satisfaction with the court’s verdict against Imran Khan and his wife, accusing them of dishonesty along with Bushra’s ex-husband Hawar Maneka.

“Six years later, Imran Khan admitted the marriage date reported by the journalists and the journalists were criticised and attacked for it. Khan should apologise to the journalists,” Rana suggested.

The Islamabad bureau chief insisted that if Nawaz Sharif was being asked to provide financial clues even after being acquitted by the court, Khan should also be cleared of his name. “As prime minister, nothing is personal,” he added.

Muhammad Ilyas, News Emphasizing that the political situation is fluid, the Lahore bureau chief expressed confidence that when the time comes, Khan will formulate policies to address the current challenges facing his political career.
