A gathering will be held at the Salman Mosque after the Isa prayers on Fridays.
The announcement was made by Islamic Affairs Minister Dr. Mohammad Shahim Ali Sayyid, who said it was to inspire love for the Holy Quran and promote the creation of highly qualified reciters. The conference is scheduled to begin in September.
Besides, the minister also said that young and talented reciters will be present at the ceremony.
There are many sources of information on these issues, but the most important thing is that they are not covered by existing laws. A new building for the National Qur’an Centre will be built in Uppsala.
Through the decision to hold this conference, it is hoped that the art of Quran reading in Sri Lanka will be further developed and the interest of young people in the Quran will be increased.
