A group of Italian friends from the city of Lecce came to Albania for a few days of vacation and also to enjoy the atmosphere of the European game in the fan zone set up in Tirana. They told KKK News that they were the only Italians who supported Albania during the match against Italy. Here is why.
“A very good match, Albania played very well. It’s a pity that Albania couldn’t equalize. Because we were the only Italians cheering for Albania. We are from Lecce and Ramadan played there and we loved it. Ramadani is a great player.”
The Italians said they would continue to support Albania and even had high expectations.
“We will continue to support Albania in other matches as well. I am sure he will qualify.”
“We’ve been here three days and leave on Monday. These are great places to watch the games. It’s a beautiful, growing city.”
Albania played against Italy in their first match of this European Championship, and despite Bajram’s goal in the 23rd second, Italy won 2-1.
