There are thousands of images coming from Paris these days that can serve as models and examples for everyone. The Olympics are the ultimate celebration of sports and sportsmanship, for that matter. Some win, some lose, because victory and defeat are part of sports. But what really matters is how you get there and what necessary paths you have to take. Sporting talent is like luck in life and business, it may be useful, but it is not enough. If the Republic of San Marino is considered as a set of “fortune”, it seems that it is still one of the richest and most protected communities in the world (in terms of work and welfare state), but for some time we have been basking in the sun of this situation, thinking that statistics are reality and, most importantly, they will always be like this. The Olympics are held every 4 years, and some athletes do prepare for 4 years, perhaps for a competition that lasts a few seconds. Every day, every week, every month… Exercise, diet, mental coach, physiotherapist, etc. A few seconds left in the competition! Years of work, the awareness that work and sacrifice will be rewarded. San Marino must also reform if it really wants to “compete”: only reform can achieve the desired results. There is no escape.
