Tatiana Dryukina is a leading expert in the economics of natural disasters, studying the economic impact of natural disasters, how we respond to them, how they affect the economy, and how they change our lives. When Tatiana first started studying natural disasters, she realized how little we knew about the long-term economic consequences of natural disasters. Especially how individuals and communities recover.
Trying to understand how we respond to natural disasters is a big part of Tatiana’s research. Her research has some surprising implications for how we respond to natural disasters should Responding to natural disasters.
