Now is the time for more businesses in Barbados and the Caribbean to tap into East Asia’s export potential.
Economist Dr Antonio Alleyne said leading regional brands, including alcoholic beverage producers, had an opportunity to focus on potential business and economic opportunities in China, Singapore, Japan and other countries in the region.
Asked if he thought enough attention was being paid to potential business and economic opportunities in Asia, he replied: “No, businesses in the region are not as competitive as they should be.”
