A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Initially, the U.S. Geological Survey reported the earthquake’s magnitude as 6.6, but later downgraded it to 6.4.
The earthquake occurred about 209 kilometres from Tofino and was recorded just after 8 a.m.
