The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has established the procedure for amending the Technical Regulation of the Customs Union “Safety of Toys”, which will enter into force on November 26, 2024.
According to the EEC regulations, toy certificates of conformity issued before the changes come into effect will be valid during their validity period. During the validity period of these documents, toys are allowed to be produced and put into circulation. Such products are allowed to circulate during their service life or shelf life.
The document contains a number of clarifications, the necessity of which was determined based on its application practice.
In addition, the technical regulations also add new terms such as “scented toys”, “plush toys”, “rattles”, “taste skill development sets (taste sets)”, etc. as requirements for new types of toys. These include board games that develop the sense of smell, taste, etc.
