Muscat: Dahiliyah police arrested an Asian truck driver after a video showed him driving against the flow on a dual carriageway in Adam Governorate
This case is the second of its kind in recent times and is currently completing legal proceedings.
Earlier, last month, a truck collided with 11 cars due to the reckless behavior of a driver in Liwa province, killing three people, including two citizens and an expatriate.
As the truck driver was driving in the wrong direction, the accident left 15 people injured.
The driver drove for a long distance against the direction of traffic.
The expatriate who died in the accident was an Indian national and an administrative manager at a private company. He was returning to Sohar from Liwa with his family to renew his residency card.
The ROP conducted tests on the driver’s physical and psychological condition to determine the cause of the accident.
