Dhivehi Raj discussed with Seychelles further strengthening relations in various fields.
The discussion took place during a meeting between President Dr Mohamed Muizou and his Seychelles counterpart Wavell Ramakawan.
The meeting took place during the President’s visit to Antigua and Barbuda to attend the Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States.
During the meeting, the two heads of state discussed the challenges facing small island developing States and how small island developing States can work together to overcome these challenges. They also stressed the importance of the Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States.
During the meeting, the two discussed various important issues of common concern. The two discussed various issues related to youth, maintaining bilateral relations, security in the Indian Ocean region, preventing sea level rise and protecting coral reefs. The President of Seychelles also assured the President of full assistance and cooperation in all areas.
The two heads of state concluded their meeting in the spirit of further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in the international field.
President Mohamed Muizou is currently visiting Antigua and Barbuda to attend the Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States.
The theme of this year’s SIDS4 is “Charting a Path to Resilient Prosperity”. In line with this theme, this year’s SIDS4 Conference will focus on promoting prosperity in small, environmentally fragile States.
