Dibba – The fishing port in Dibba Governorate is one of the most important development projects implemented in the Musandam Governorate, aimed at diversifying the economy and creating a favorable environment for investment and development of fishery resources.

Ahmed bin Ali Al Shehi, director of the Dibba State Fishing Port, said that the construction work is progressing smoothly and the completion rate has reached about 75%. The port marine engineering is expected to be completed within the next two months.

He explained that the port can accommodate cruise ships, especially after the International Cruise Lines Organization approved Dibba Port as a terminal for its global vessels, noting that the port receives about 4,000 passengers per month through the National Ferry Company.

He said the project is expected to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2025, with the boat dock currently operational and construction work on the main beach to be completed in the coming days.

He added that the project has allocated an area of 5,000 square meters for investment in tourist hotels, restaurants and tourism services, as well as facilities in the transport and trade sectors.

The project also includes dedicated footpaths, buildings and commercial establishments, internal roads, electrical and lighting works, and water and stormwater drainage networks.
