Despite the irregularities, the BDP committee rejected Serame’s appeal
The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Southern Regional Committee has dismissed the appeal of Finance Minister and Goodhope-Mmatet Constituency candidate Peggy Selame despite finding irregularities in the primary elections held in the region.
The Southern Regional Council (SRC) in its report stated that the voting was conducted on different dates on July 20 and 21, 2024. “The SRC further stated that this was contrary to what was conveyed in a letter written by its secretary general, Kavis Kario, on July 16, 2024,”
