The encounter with the territory and the close connection with the Castle of the Republic are the premises for the 2024 summer program of the cultural institution Performing Arts.

The Castle of San Marino will be the protagonist of this event, offering an intimate and unusual cultural and entertainment programme “Poetic traces of abandoned places” Eight events with a particular focus on quality will be held from July 3 to August 27 in rotation in the cities of Montegiardino, Chiesanuova, Serravalle, Borgo Maggiore, Fiorentino and San Marino.

The proposals will encompass different performing arts: music, theatre, comedy and will constitute moments of discussion and socialising in a place that will be transformed in the evening from an outdated space into a cultural and meeting place.

“Cinema in the Castle”

In July and August, the San Marino summer is also alive with small outdoor film festivals for children and their families: animated films, fantasy films and comedies offer the opportunity for relaxed and pleasant evenings of sharing and gathering in the squares and parks of the Republic.

Between July 8 and August 7, 12 screenings took place at Castello Serravalle, Castello Borgo Maggiore, Castello Domagnano and Castello Montegiardino.

The first appointment will be on Monday, July 8, at Piazza Bertoldi in Serravalle, to see the live-action version of Aladdin: a remake of the animated film of the same name by Disney.
