The encounter with the territory and the close connection with the Castle of the Republic are the premises for the 2024 summer program of the cultural institution Performing Arts.
The Castle of San Marino will be the protagonist of this event, offering an intimate and unusual cultural and entertainment programme “Poetic traces of abandoned places” Eight events with a particular focus on quality will be held from July 3 to August 27 in rotation in the cities of Montegiardino, Chiesanuova, Serravalle, Borgo Maggiore, Fiorentino and San Marino.
The proposals will encompass different performing arts: music, theatre, comedy and will constitute moments of discussion and socialising in a place that will be transformed in the evening from an outdated space into a cultural and meeting place.

Tuesday July 23 A Serravalle Lesignano’s LET IT SWING concert will usher in a musical transformation Candy Man and Candy Pie: The hits of The Beatles and Louis Armstrong will find new life and sound in perfect swing and gypsy style. “Cinema in the Castle”
In July and August, the San Marino summer is also alive with small outdoor film festivals for children and their families: animated films, fantasy films and comedies offer the opportunity for relaxed and pleasant evenings of sharing and gathering in the squares and parks of the Republic.
Between July 8 and August 7, 12 screenings took place at Castello Serravalle, Castello Borgo Maggiore, Castello Domagnano and Castello Montegiardino.
The first appointment will be on Monday, July 8, at Piazza Bertoldi in Serravalle, to see the live-action version of Aladdin: a remake of the animated film of the same name by Disney. This will be followed on July 9 by Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish, with the return of one of the most beloved characters of the Shrek saga, and on Wednesday, July 10 by The Snowman: a classic story of friendship, tenderness and strength.

After a short break, the big screen will hit the Domagnano in Don El Vero Park from Monday, July 29, when Angelina Jolie will once again play the role of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The very funny protagonist of Pets 2: Pet Life will appear on Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31. The program will end on Monday, August 5, at the Montegiardino Castle in Piazza Alceste Preda Ferri, with the screening of Big Hero 6, the animated film inspired by the eponymous Marvel Comics series. On Tuesday, August 6, the Disney classic Zootopia, winner of the Oscar for Best Animated Film, and on Wednesday, August 7, Dolittle, the story of a veterinarian who can talk to animals.
