COVID-19: 2,414 new cases, 22 new deaths

New Zealand has reported 2414 new cases of Covid-19 in the week to Sunday, with 22 more people dying from the virus.

Of the new cases, 1,429 were reinfections.

There are 162 patients hospitalized, none of whom are in intensive care units.

Canterbury reported the most new cases in the past week, followed by Waitemata and Counties Manukau.

Last week, Te Whatu Ora reported 2,640 new cases of COVID-19 in one weekand 30 others died from the virus.
