S Nagindas Fiji invested $4 million to open a branch in Damodar City, Labasa.
The store which opened yesterday is their second in Labasa.
S Nagindas managing director Amit Khatri said the second store will provide customers with an international standard shopping experience.
“The new store is huge and has a wide variety of merchandise,” he said.
Mr. Khatri said they had always wanted to open a large shopping center.
“The stores in Labasa town are small, so thank you Damodar for building a huge shopping mall.”
In an interview with this newspaper, he said that they not only sell men’s clothing, but also children’s and women’s clothing.
“We want to showcase the people of Labasa the wide variety of goods we sell.”
He said the new stores created jobs in the North.
“The company employs a total of 31 people.”
Mr Khatri said he had received overwhelming support from the people of Labasa before the opening of the new store.
