Deportivo Marquense and Mixco kicked off Matchday 2 of the National League at the Marquesa de la Ensenada Stadium.

The Lions enjoyed another National League campaign at home and celebrated with a 2-0 win over the Chicharroneros.

After the start of the game, the two sides started a fair game in the midfield, with both sides trying to impose their own conditions and control the ball.
In the 10th minute, Carlos Salvador Estrada showed great concentration in a dangerous attack. He rushed into the penalty area and made Andrés Lezcano uncomfortable when he was about to shoot.
Then, Tico was knocked down in the penalty area and Mixquinhos got a penalty in the 16th minute. Elizer Quinones took the penalty and shot hard, but the ball hit the post and wasted a great scoring opportunity.
However, Marquense also had a few attempts at goal, and around the 30th minute, in a brilliant counterattack, Christopher Robles anticipated Sotomayor’s shot in the six-yard box and pushed the ball into the goal 1-0.

Time was running out for the Mixqueños, who were sapping minutes from every game, just as Estuardo Sicán had to seek medical attention in ’87 due to muscle discomfort.
The match seemed to end with a narrow margin, but in the 98th minute, Rincón Texeira made the score 2-0 and Kevin Moscoso’s shot reassured the fans and the team.
The Maquense team won and they celebrated another National League victory, something they had not had since they were relegated to the First Division in 2018.
Mixco, for its part, continues to be winless and has accumulated one point on two disputed dates.
