Guatemala – The national team had a big win against the Caribbean team.
On the first day of Group E of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers, the Guatemalan national team beat the Dominican Republic 6-0, a result that dealt a blow to the morale of those seeking to advance to the next stage in the coming days.

In the second half, the performance of the Two Colors improved, especially the scoreline. In the 47th minute, Alejandro Galindo’s shot was blocked by the goalkeeper to extend the advantage, but the midfielder took advantage of the rebound to score his second goal.
The goal opened the door, making it 4-0 at 58, when Jose Morales switched legs and crossed, and Rubio Rubin barely blocked it, thus beating the opposing goalkeeper.
The score was set, and the blue and white continued, taking advantage of the fact that the Caribbean no longer showed the passion of the first half.
The other scores came at the end of the game. In the 77th minute, Jose Carlos Martinez scored with a header to make the score 5-0, and Jose Morales made a cross that was unattended and evaded the goalkeeper to make the score 6-0.
In the end, Guatemala got off to a good start in the World Cup qualifiers and is temporarily leading, waiting for tomorrow’s match between Jamaica and the British Virgin Islands.
