Chelsea beat Wolves 6-2 and Liverpool beat Brentford 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday
Noni Madak scored a hat-trick as Chelsea lost 2-0 to Manchester City in the league on Saturday. Chelsea’s goals were scored by Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palma as well as recent Portuguese playmaker Giao Felix.
Wolves’ two goals were scored by Mathieu Cunha and Jurgen Strand Larsson. Wolves lost 0-2 to Arsenal in their first league match.
It was Chelsea’s second win under new manager Enzo Maresca, following their 2-0 win over Swiss side Servette in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League qualifier last week.
Luis Diaz scored the first goal of new manager Ann Slaughter’s first home game in charge of Liverpool in the 13th minute. It was the 100th appearance for the Colombian-born Diaz for Liverpool.
Liverpool’s second goal came in the 70th minute when Mohamed Salah scored his second goal of the game. Cody Gakpo also fired a shot into the net.
