Members of the Transport Advisory Committee working group recommended that driving schools sign cooperation agreements with social service agencies to provide modified vehicles for disabled students.
According to a statement, the members recalled that the vehicles had to be modified, which meant high additional costs for the schools, which is why they also asked for the responsibility to be transferred to the candidates.
The article states: “CCT members pointed out that although some assessment fees have been reduced, the high costs of repeated revisions and frequent checks may still be passed on to candidates.” It also suggested that “disabled candidates purchase and modify vehicles for learning purposes, which will also facilitate their future use.”
The Transport Services Department promised to “analyse the feasibility of the suggestions collected in more detail”.
In addition, new features of the driving school online platform, namely special rescheduling and payment using driving learning and test centers, were discussed.
