The Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT) will hold a plenary session in Ouagadougou on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, dedicated to the resumption of the work of the parliamentary commission of inquiry on three main issues. These documents concern rural land in Burkina Faso, liabilities for real estate development and the effectiveness of projects and programs financed by external resources in Burkina Faso.
The resumption of the real estate development accountability work that was originally on the agenda has been postponed.
“Before giving the floor to the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee, we will conduct a secret observation in accordance with the provisions of Article 148, paragraph 2. If, during the closed session, the plenary decides to publish the report, the public session will resume,” stressed ALT President Dr Ousmane Bougouma.
The inquiry, initiated by Parliament, aims to understand and resolve complex issues related to the topics on the agenda, constituting key issues for the country’s economic and social development.
