As soon as we started chatting with him, a student, soaking wet, came to look at the raincoats. After a few minutes of discussion, the student and the merchant could not agree on the price of the product she wanted. She wanted to buy a raincoat, and she chose 3,000 CFA francs. Mr. Larzaga made her understand that the one she chose could not be sold for 3,000 CFA francs because it was of superior quality. Finally, the student decided to give up and look elsewhere.
“During the rainy season, we also sell a lot of raincoats. I admit that I sold a little since yesterday. It rained all day yesterday and it rained today as well. When this happens, people who have documents or valuables with them are forced to buy raincoats to protect themselves,” said Mr. Larga.

According to him, the price of his raincoats ranges from 1,000 to 8,000 CFA francs.
A little further away is Hamidou Sawadogo, also a raincoat seller. This trader says he is happy when it rains heavily in Ouagadougou. “When it rains like this, people buy a lot of raincoats. I am happy when it rains. Students and workers have no choice but to buy raincoats to protect their documents. I sold some yesterday and today. If it continues like this, it will be great,” says our interlocutor.
Ismael Coanda bought a raincoat to get to work. “I have documents to clear today. I need to get to the office as soon as possible. I need to buy a raincoat to continue my journey. Sometimes buying a raincoat is necessary. Often it rains along the way and we have urgent things to do and have to go to the office in the rain. I buy at least two raincoats at this time of year because I often forget them at home. When I encounter slightly more complicated situations, I have to buy another one. I just spent 4,000 CFA francs on a raincoat, even though I already have two at home. “I saw that the weather was dangerous when I went out, but because I was in a hurry, I forgot to bring one.” Mr. Coanda explained, a little wet from the rain.
