Did Britney Spears tell off Blake Lively for wearing a Versace dress she designed in 2002?
Lively, 36, turned heads on the red carpet in the iconic gown, and a week later, the gown’s original wearer – the pop queen – took to her Instagram on Saturday to show off an “upgraded” version of the iconic dress and said she liked it “better.”
Set to Your love In Outfield’s promotional video, Spears wears a shimmery, colorful dress with slim straps and side cutouts. She completes the look with nude heels and minimal jewelry.
“I like it better,” Spears commented on the dress, adding, “Showing my legs!!!”
The timing of Spears’ post led some fans to believe she was taking a dig at Lively, who had just worn the original dress to the it’s all over Premiered in New York.
However, Spears later updated her caption to praise Lively, writing, “An updated version of my 2002 Versace dress!!! I’m not @blakelively but I love it,” while still highlighting her preference for the updated look.
