British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stressed on Tuesday that he expected protesters who had taken part in far-right violence since the murder of the three girls “will be severely punished this weekend”.
The government official stressed on British television after a meeting of the new crisis cabinet, “I expect a heavy sentence to be imposed before the end of this week, which will send a very powerful message to everyone involved, both directly and online.”
Starmer stressed that swift legal action would show the case was dealt with “within a week” and that “no one should be part of this mess”.
